Caregivers of Infants and Babies

New parents are often faced with many conflicting emotions – excitement and elation, yet, at the same time, fear and exhaustion. One does not need to be alone when experiencing some, or all, of these emotions when caring for a newborn or young baby. The Center for Caregivers offers individual counseling and therapy groups to parents who are caring for a newborn or young baby. A free, initial phone consultation is available to help determine which services would suit her or his needs.

Therapy Groups

The Center for Caregivers offers Therapy Groups that meet once a week for 60 minutes and are scheduled for 4-week sessions. Parents of newborns or young babies come together and discuss their feelings in a warm and supportive environment. Group size is limited and one must pre-register to participate.

Individual Counseling

The Center for Caregivers offers individual counseling for new parents of newborns or young babies. Each person’s experience as a new parent is unique and individual counseling allows the client a focused concentration on her/his personal experience. Individual sessions are 50 minutes in length.
